​​Commission Delegated Regulation extending the scope of essential requirements to 5G radio equipment published 

Official publication has been made of Commission Delegated Regulation 2022/30 supplementing Directive 2014/53/EU on placing radio equipment on the market with regard to the application of essential requirements. 

Directive 2014/53/EU foresees that the protection of personal data and privacy of users of radio equipment and the protection from fraud may be enhanced by particular features of radio equipment, therefore, radio equipment should be designed in such a way that it supports those features. 

According to the document ‘Cybersecurity of 5G networks EU Toolbox of risk mitigating measures’ published by the Network and Information Systems Cooperation Group, in the upcoming years, 5G will play a key role in the development
