Acquisition of joint control of Capveriant by Caisse des dépôts and Deutsche Pfandbriefbank

The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of

Germany-based Capveriant Gmbh (digital platform that acts as intermediary between public sector entities and credit and debt lenders)

by

Caisse des dépôts et consignations (French public entity dedicated to the general interest and economic development of France); and Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, of Germany (present in the banking finance sector).

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise no competition concerns, given the weak market shares accumulated by the companies.
