Acquisition of joint control of Port-La Nouvelle’s commercial port by Deme Concessions, CDC and Région Occitanie: approval decision published

Official publication has been made of the European Commission’s decision of 29 March 2021 approving, under Article 6(1)(b) of the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control of the operational activities of Port-La Nouvelle’s France-based commercial port. 

The acquiring companies are: 

Belgium-based Deme Concessions NV (present in the public procurement management sector, particularly in the field of maritime infrastructure); Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations, of France (public loans and investment, and management of private funds to which the public authorities wish to provide special protection); and Région Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée (French territorial community that owns the commercial port of Port-La
