Action challenging Commission decision refusing status as interested parties published

In PBL and WA v Commission (T-538/21), the General Court will hear an action for annulment against a decision by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition refusing the status as interested parties to a Futbol Club Barcelona fan club in Lyon, after they had requested the Commission to stop the signing of Lionel Messi as a Paris Saint-Germain player. 

The Commission’s contested decision denied the applicants the status of interested parties within the meaning of Article 24(2) of Regulation 2015/1589.
