Agreement to swap staff for information exchange between EU agencies Europol and Frontex

Europol has made an announcement that it will be exchanging personnel - liaison officers - with Frontex, the EU’s Border and Coast Guard Agency, under an agreement that was signed further to the Joint Action Plan of the Executive Directors of both agencies in December.

The aim is for officers to contribute to information exchange between the agencies, to strengthen Europol’s databases and support criminal investigations; improve the work of border guards; and enable more efficient management of the EU’s external borders.
