Amendments to Pan-European Guarantee Fund approved by Commission

The European Commission has approved under State aid rules various amendments to the Pan-European Guarantee Fund to enable financing for companies affected by the coronavirus outbreak in 22 Member States.

The Fund, which was approved on 14 December 2020, brings together support by Member States under the management of the European Investment Bank Group. It aims at addressing in a coordinated manner the financing needs of European companies, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, by providing guarantees on debt instruments (such as loans) and equity instruments.
