Approval decision of acquisition of Banijay and Endemol Shine by Lov Group published

The European Commission’s approval decision of 30 June 2020, under Article 6(1)(b) of the EU Merger Regulation, of Banijay and Endemol by Lov Group has been officially published.

The Banijay Group of France is active in creation, production and distribution of entertainment TV content for broadcasters in Europe and other countries worldwide;  The Endemol Shine Group of the Netherlands produces and distributes TV content and licensing to third parties, development of general entertainment content in Europe and other countries worldwide; The Lov Group Invest of France produces TV content in Europe, and is also active in the online gambling and luxury hotels sectors.

The Commission’s decision was based on there being no competition
