CJEU: National courts must review minor amendments to product specifications

In a preliminary reference made by the French Conseil d’État, the Court of Justice ruled today in GAEC Jeanningros (C-785/18) that national courts must rule on the validity of a national authority’s decision on minor amendments to a product specification, even when the European Commission has granted an application based on the national decision. In the context of joint administrative proceedings, the Court of Justice clarifies its case law and gives guidance on the role of national courts when reviewing national decisions intricately linked with EU acts.
