Commission accepts COVID-19 certificates issued by Georgia, Moldova, New Zealand and Serbia

The Commission adopted four equivalence decisions on the COVID-19 certificates issued by Georgia, Moldova, New Zealand and Serbia certifying that they are equivalent to the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Such equivalence allows for the acceptance of COVID-19 certificates issued by the four countries to EU citizens and their family members, as well as certificates issued to third-country nationals legally staying or residing in their territory. Reciprocally, Georgia, Moldova, New Zealand and Serbia agreed to accept the EU Digital COVID Certificate for travel from the EU to their countries.

The four countries will have to connect to the EU Digital COVID Certificate trust framework in order for these Decisions to be operational
