Commission adopts its 2022 Work Programme

On 19 October, the European Commission adopted its 2022 Work Programme, which outlines its policy actions and priorities for ‘a post-COVID-19 Europe that is greener, fairer, more digital and more resilient’. 

It specifically contains 42 new policy initiatives across six headline ambitions, and with an additional youth in connection with European Year of Youth 2022. Within each headline ambition, the Commission’s priorities will include:

A new regulatory framework for certification of carbon removal, in the line with the  ‘Fit for 55 package'  Reviewing the CO2 emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles Green Bonds


The adoption of a ​​European Chips Act  A proposal for a Euro
