Commission adopts new Overseas Countries and Territories Association Decision
The European Commission published a Decision 2021/1764 establishing the rules and the procedure for the association of the EU with the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs), including relations between the EU, on the one part, and Greenland and Denmark, on the other (Decision). The Decision repeals the previous Association Decision 2013/755/EU.
The Decision, which constitutes a partnership agreement, is aimed to continue and foster strong relations between all the parties, to support the sustainable social and economic development of the OCTs and to promote EU values and standards in the rest of the world.
