Conclusions of EU forest strategy for 2030 adopted by Council

The Council of the European Union has adopted conclusions on the new EU forest strategy for 2030, which was published in July 2021 by the European Commission (read previous EU Law Live news here).

The conclusions highlight the need for forests to contribute more to the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda while maintaining a balanced approach to improve forests’ resilience to challenges such as climate change and to protect communities whose livelihood depends on forestry.
