

Council and Parliament reach provisional agreement on revised rules for cross-border energy projects to boost green and climate-neutral investments
Negotiators of the Council of the EU and the European Parliament have reached a provisional political agreement on the revision of the Trans-European Networks for Energy (TEN-E) Regulation, contributing to the EU’s climate objectives and the Green Deal.
The revised rules set the criteria and methodology for selecting energy projects of common interest (PCIs), such as high-voltage transmission lines, pipelines, energy storage facilities or smart grids, which would benefit from fast-track administrative procedures and be eligible to receive EU funds.
