Council of the EU renews EU terrorist list

The list of terrorists who are to be subjected to restrictive measures by the EU has been renewed, as is done on a regular basis, by the Council of the EU today. The funds and other financial assets in the EU of those on the list will be frozen. The legal bases on which the Council does this include Common Position 2001/931/CFSP and Council Regulation 2580/2001, and is in implementation of UNSC Resolution 1373/2001.
