Court of Justice publishes call for applications from Irish-Gaelic Lawyer-Linguists

Official publication has been made of a notice of open competition of the European Personnel Selection Office for the position of Irish Gaelic speaking Lawyer-Linguists to join the Court of Justice’s Translation Unit in Luxembourg.

The duties of successful candidates involve the review and translation of legal texts, such as judgments and opinions, from at least two other official languages of the EU into Irish. 

Candidates must hold a university degree and must have the following three language levels: Irish (C2); English, French, German, Italian, Polish or Spanish (at least C1); another official EU language (at least C1). No professional experience is required to be eligible for the competition if the required university studies lasted four years or more.

All applications must be submitted in Irish before 21 December 2021 at midday.
