EPPO appoints and rejects Bulgarian Delegated Prosecutors

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) has appointed a Delegated Prosecutor from Bulgaria and rejected a candidate for the same Member State. This brings it to a total of 9 Bulgarian Delegated Prosecutors.

In its rejection decision, the EPPO College noted that the candidate did not meet all the requirements set out in Article 17(2) of the EPPO Regulation.

Under the Regulation establishing EPPO, at least two European Delegated Prosecutors are appointed per participating country. They are entrusted with carrying out the investigations in their respective Member States, in accordance with the EPPO Regulation and with national law.
