EPPO appoints Spanish Delegated Prosecutors

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO), the EU’s new independent EU body in charge of investigating, prosecuting and bringing to judgment crimes against the EU budget, has appointed two Delegated Prosecutors from Spain.

The new Delegated Prosecutors, Mr. Antonio Zárate Conde and Mr. Luis Miguel Jiménez Crespo, will serve for a renewable period of five years.

Under the Regulation establishing EPPO, at least two European Delegated Prosecutors are appointed per participating country. They are entrusted with carrying out the investigations in their respective Member States, in accordance with the EPPO Regulation and with national law.
