EU Institutional Changes as UK leaves the bloc: the European Parliament
Parliament will have 705 seats instead of 751
The UK’s 73 seats in Parliament will be dealt with like this:
27 will be redistributed to member states
46 will be held in reserve for future EU enlargements
MEP numbers for some Member States will increase to reflect the proportion of their populations
There will be some slight changes to the composition of committees and subcommittees.
For more detail on those changes, read the European Parliament’s press release here.
