EU’s first Anti-Racism Coordinator
Ms Michaela Moua has been appointed by the European Commission as its first ever Anti-Racism Coordinator. The role entails liaising with those from a minority racial and ethnic background to report on their concerns to the Commission, and to strengthen policy responses in line with the EU anti-racism Action Plan 2020-2025, which was published in September 2020.
This appointment comes after the EU Anti-Racism Summit that took place in March this year, co-hosted by the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and in cooperation with the ARDI Intergroup of the European Parliament.
