Executive Board of the Conference on the Future of Europe amends Plenary’s composition

The Executive Board of the Conference on the Future of Europe has agreed to allocate more seats in the Plenary to local and regional authorities as well as to social partners.

The original composition of the Conference Plenary included 18 seats for the Committee of the Regions and 8 seats for social partners. The amendment agreed by the Executive Board adds six elected representatives from local and six from regional authorities. At the same time, the number of representatives from the social partners increases to 12. After this amendment, the new Plenary will be composed of a total of 450 representatives.
