Last week the Council of the European Union adopted wide-ranging conclusions on the EU’s digital policy, supporting a Digital Single Market, digital transformation, greater connectivity, the Digital Services Act roadmaps (relevant for online platforms), digital taxation, and its vision for artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, electronic identity, media policy, disinformation, health, the environment, and more. It has been entitled ‘Shaping Europe’s Digital Future’, the same title as the European Commission’s Communication of 19 February 2020. The conclusions were published officially on Tuesday 16 June.
