Joint venture in bakery sector approved by the Commission

The newly created joint venture between Chinese AB Mauri Yihai Kerry China Investment Holding Company Limited by UK company Associated British Foods and Singaporean Wilmar International Limited has been cleared by the Commission.

The joint venture will operate in the sector of manufacturing, sales and distribution of yeast, bakery ingredients and bakery fats in China. The decision that there were no competition concerns raised by the joint venture was based on the lack of assets or activities in the EEA.

More information can be found in the Commission’s press release, available here.
