Judicial dialogue in the ECHR context: German Bundesverfassungsgericht joins Superior Courts Network

As of this month, the German Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) has joined the Superior Courts Network (SCN) of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), bringing the membership of the Network to 93 courts from 40 States.

Launched in 2015, the overall aim of the SCN is to enrich dialogue among courts involved in the implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), thereby fostering exchange of relevant information on ECtHR case law and related matters. The SCN, managed by the Jurisconsult of the ECHR, functions in accordance with the guiding principles set out in its Charter and with its Operational Rules.
