Merger: Approval of acquisition of Imphytek Powders by Aperam and Tekna

The Commission has given its approval for Aperam Alloys Imphy SAS and Tekna Plasma Europe SAS to create a new jointly controlled full-function joint-venture named ImphyTek Powders, resulting in the latter producing and commercialising nickel alloys powders worldwide. The joint venture will be based in France.

Aperam Alloys Imphy is a Luxembourgish company, a global player in stainless, electrical and specialty alloys steel, with customers in over 40 countries.

Tekna, based in Norway, is a world leader in induction plasma technology, and manufactures atomisers and peripheral equipment to produce metallic powders, and is also a hydro power producer, a property developer and a financial investor.
