New Commission Notice on the application of the Union’s pharmaceutical acquis in markets dependent on medicines supply from parts of the UK other than Northern Ireland
The European Commission has issued a new Notice on the application of the Union’s pharmaceutical acquis in markets historically dependent on medicines supply from or through parts of the United Kingdom other than Northern Ireland.
Operators in these markets have not managed to adapt supply chains of medicines in time for the application of the Union’s pharmaceutical acquis following the entry into force of the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland. Additionally, there is a risk of shortages of veterinary medicinal products in those markets, since companies have not had time to adjust to the changes deriving from the Protocol.
