New time-limit to apply to the ECtHR to enter into force soon

A new time-limit for applying to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) will come into force on 1 February 2022. The new time limit, which arises from Protocol No. 15, reduces the applicable time-limit to lodge an application from six months to four since the final national judicial decision.

This results from the entry into force of Protocol No. 15 on 1 August 2021 which, as reported here by EU Law Live, include:
