Notices published for persons subject to EU sanctions against use of chemical weapons, and in respect of Libya

Two Notices have been published today for those subject to EU sanctions against the proliferation and use of chemical weapons under (1) CFSP Decision 2018/544; and (2) Regulation 2018/542.

Another two Notices have also been published for those subject to EU sanctions in view of the situation in Libya under (1) CFSP Decision 2015/1333 and its implementing measures; and (2) Council Regulation 2016/44 and its implementing measures.

 

EU sanctions against use of chemical weapons

The first Notice informs persons and the entity concerned that they may submit a request to the Council of the EU against the decision to include them on the lists of EU sanctions before 1 July 2021.

The second Notice informs them of their data protection rights, how a data protection complaint can be made, and of the legal basis on which data is being processed.

 

EU sanctions in view of the situation in Libya

The first Notice informs a person who is on the list (see Council Implementing Decision 2020/1483 and Council Implementing Regulation 2020/1481) that he or she may submit a request to the Council before 15 May 2021 to reconsider his or her inclusion on the relevant list of EU sanctions.

The second Notice informs all data subjects on these EU sanctions lists of their data protection rights, how a data protection complaint can be made, and of the legal basis on which data is being processed.
