President von der Leyen’s speech on the Polish Constitutional Court judgment: main takeaways

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has delivered a speech today in the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg concerning the current rule of law situation in Poland in connection with the recent judgment of the Polish Constitutional Court challenging the principle of primacy of EU law and declaring several Treaty provisions as ultra vires in Poland.
