President von der Leyen’s statement on COVID-19 challenges: main takeaways

Speaking to the press on Wednesday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen gave an update on the EU’s current efforts to tackle the latest challenges related to COVID-19, most notably with regard to the new omicron variant.
