Update to list of areas in the EU where there is a risk of African swine fever
African swine fever is a viral disease of domestic and wild pigs which is highly contagious to animals in that family. Its prevention in the EU was aimed at through animal health control measures set out in Council Directive 2002/60/EC. The Commission is, with some urgency, replacing the Annex which contains the last list, to show which areas in certain Member States are at increased risk.
That list was published today in the Official Journal: see Commission Implementing Decision 2019/1952.
