Following the outbreak of conflict between Russia and Ukraine, on 1 March this year the Council approved a third package of restrictive measures against public and private entities linked with Russian military action. In particular, Council Decision 2022/351 (amending Decision 2014/512/CFSP) and Council Regulation 2022/350 (amending Regulation 833/2014) prohibit the broadcasting of any content, by any means, of certain media linked to the Russian Government: five branches of the network Russia Today (made up of RT English, RT UK, RT Germany, RT France, RT Spanish) and Sputnik'.
