Commission Implementing Decision prolonging the enhanced surveillance for Greece

Commission Implementing Decision 2020/280 on the prolongation of enhanced surveillance for Greece has been published. The Decision extends the period of enhanced surveillance under Article 2(1) of Regulation 472/2013 for an additional six months, commencing on 21 February 2020.

After the expiry of the European Stability Mechanism financial assistance on 20 August 2018, Commission Implementing Decision 2018/1192 put in place a six month period of enhanced surveillance for Greece, from 21 August 2018. Enhanced surveillance was subsequently extended twice, each time for an additional six months, the last occasion being from 21 August 2019 onwards.
