EU adopts Data Governance Act for stronger data sharing mechanisms
The Data Governance Act (DGA) was adopted today by the Council, following its approval of the European Parliament's position. Under the new law, robust mechanisms to facilitate the reuse of certain categories of protected public-sector data for research and development of innovative products will be introduced.
As previously reported here, the DGA, which forms part of the European Data Strategy, foresees the following measures:
