General Court upholds Northtechnic’s reference values for hydrofluorocarbons quotas for 2024

Today, the General Court of the European Union has delivered its judgment in Northtechnic v Commission (T-6/24) involving Northtechnic OOD, an importer of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). Northtechnic sought the annulment of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2432, which set reference values for HFC quotas for 2024 under Regulation (EU) No 517/2014.

Northtechnic OOD has been registered in the HFC system since 2014 and has received quotas for HFC imports in past allocation periods.
