Very Large Online Platforms and Search Engines due to publish first transparency reports, pursuant to the DSA
Designated ‘Very Large Online Platforms’ and ‘Very Large Online Search Engines’ are due to publish their first transparency reports, under the Digital Services Act (‘DSA’).
The first seven platforms, namely Amazon, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Zalando, and Bing have already published their reports while the rest have until 6 November to do so.
The transparency reports will ensure transparency and accountability over content moderation online for the benefit of citizens, researchers and regulators. Accordingly, they will contribute to increased public scrutiny and accountability.
